ST. BEDE'S PARISH CHURCH ROTHERHAM

Church Etiquette

To avoid any embarrassing interruptions, PLEASE change your MOBILE phone settings before entering Church. We would politely ask that you TURN OFF your device or at least activate 'airplane mode' to avoid any interference with church's wi-fi signal, as this can affect the quality and reliability of our livestream broadcast.  If you urgently require your phone to remain active due to an emergency, please mute the sound by having the volume set to silent for the duration of your visit.

MANAGE MOBILE PHONES IN CHURCH

ARRIVE IN GOOD TIME

Please make every effort to arrive in good time before Mass is due to start.  It is extremely disruptive, both to father and the wider congregation, when people arrive late and take seats towards the front of church.

DISRUPTIVE CHIT-CHAT

As a basic courtesy to others and to set the necessary level of respect for Mass, please refrain from unnecessary 'chit chat' once you take your seat in church.  Be aware that people around you will be praying. We'd like to encourage parishioners and visitors to reserve their conversations for the car park or parish rooms.

PLEASE REMOVE ANY RUBBISH

In a bid to keep St. Bede's always looking its best, please remove any rubbish you create or drop.  Avoid leaving detritus such as used tissues, sweet wrappers and waste paper on the benches or floor.  This is especially important on grounds of hygiene and cleanliness.

BEHAVIOUR IN CHURCH. The Church is the House of God and the way we behave in Church should show our respect for God and for his people. Accordingly, we should:

Kindly return hymn books and mass books to the stand in the porch

RETURN BOOKS
